Swimming
Most people who drown can swim, so whether you can swim or not, you must bring a flotation buddy (search "swimming flotation buddy" on Taobao).
Be especially careful about sun protection when swimming at the beach; around 5 PM is more suitable. If you insist on risking peeling skin and two to three weeks of pain to swim between noon and 5 PM, remember not to do backstroke.
Do not go to seaside bathing beaches; the water is very shallow.
Do not dive, unless you are prepared for large facial lacerations, being paralyzed from hitting the bottom, death from striking rocks, or charges of negligent injury or negligent homicide.
What you think is practicing breath-holding underwater: surface when you can’t hold it any longer. The reality: you will lose consciousness and may never come back up.
