Nonsense column: leave enough time before making decisions

For example, when deciding whether to buy something, delay the purchase by a month; during that time you might suddenly realize there is no need to buy it.

I used to look at stainless steel pans and thought that with the right temperature they could be nonstick, and paired with a quick-release handle they could be easily put in the dishwasher. To get the correct temperature you would need to buy a temperature-controlled induction cooker. Later I found that the dishwasher might not actually clean stainless steel pans well, and after asking the customer service for my existing induction cooker I discovered each power level corresponds to a specific temperature, and one setting is 180–200°C, so there’s no need to buy a temperature-controlled induction cooker.

If your money comes from selling your time, and you use that money to buy something useless, it’s equivalent to wasting your time for nothing.
