If what you're going to do is interesting enough, then you don't need to go to the library; you can be highly productive at home.
Whether doing something is tiring largely depends on whether that thing is interesting to you. I once took on an order that had many features but no technical difficulty; I wouldn't learn much from writing it, and the timeframe was short, so I had to write code continuously for a week, which was very torturous.
